Monkey Boy Recordings

"When Monkeys Fly"
Monkey Boy's newest release, was almost four years in the making.
It's chalk full of swampy love/death songs (22 of 'em)
Inside the CD you get to see a nice fold out of the Jeeter-Tech Labs recording studio that you can examine closely with your very own piece of Space-age Magno-glass !!!
This CD features Scott Scarboro, Butch Celani, Matthew Mason, Alan Canon, Tony Woolard and Karen Welch.
Funnel clouds is a tragic song about a young man calling out for help because he has tornados coming out of his ass.
Hickory Hip or Rocket pony painted white is a spaceage story of lost love...
GrandMa's Floral Dress a sad song about my grandma dying
Polar Bear is about a dream I had one night...
In 1st grade I was sent to the Nuns to have my speech Impediment cured.
One remedy was to color a wagon and say Red Wagon as fast as I could...

Sittin' on the Front Porch with Grandpa's fluffy dog a little instrumental...listen as the thunder storm rolls in
Oil Pressure is about the love between a monkey boy and his car.

"Pap-Paw"was recorded in 1996 on a little 4 track in my bedroom.
The stripped down songs are held together with spoons and my electrified stomp box for some bare boned beats.

Recorded in 1994 on the same little 4 track that brought us Pap-Paw.  A lot of the vocals on these songs are quiet almost whispered for fear of waking up the room mates' pet pig that lived inside a box in the Kitchen.  Pig is not exactly right.  How about a 400 lb Hog!!!
This son of a bitch would go ape shit and charge at me from down at the end of the hallway of a long shotgun house.  The more rockin' numbers were recorded in the summer in my Parents' garage.  The neighbors were confused.
All sorts of things were used to create these songs.  Too many gizmos to list here...
For some reason this remains Monkey Boy's favorite tape.
This tape has the original versions of  Shag Carpet and Polar Bear.

Live at a Halloween Party '98...Hell Bent and Happy on Halloween
What a screammer this live tape is!  Many minutes of non-stop spook fest musak by a five piece junkabilly band.  Matthew Mason joins the regular line up on The Plank lookin' like Alice the goon in a lovely dress.  The folks tranced all night long to the gritty grave yard Grooves...
A Frightenly Freaked out dance party where you would hear a gruling version of Frog Giggin' slapped right next to a story about the ghost of Tom and the Legend of Sleepy Hallow.  Not to mention the dreary tales of Booger Haller...

Cost of tape or cdr $5.00
